Reader Goals 2015

This year’s reader goals:

Research

Complete a list of the top SF/F/H pulp works, begin reading selections (in progress).

Keep up with Locus Online for new book-length fiction, so I’m not completely clueless on new releases this year.

Find a good horror fiction review site for same.

Reporting

Write up a brief blog post with the best-of every month.

Book-Length

Gets through 95% of the Nightmare Magazine’s Top 100 Horror Books list.  Current progress: 12 (not counting books that I’ve read before; I decided to reread the ones I’ve already done).

Short Fiction

One of the things that I fell down on last year was not getting through my favorite SF/F/H markets on a consistent basis.

Priorities:

Apex Magazine

Beneath Ceaseless Skies

Crossed Genres

The Dark

Lightspeed

Nightmare

Strange Horizons

Three-Lobed Burning Eye

Tor.com

Uncanny

Clarkesworld

Wish List:

Analog

Asimov’s

Big Pulp

Fantasy & Science Fiction

Fantastic Stories of the Imagination

Fantasy Scroll Magazine

Goldfish Grimm’s Spicy Fiction Sushi

Rampant Loon: Stupefying, Straeon, Showcase

Plasma Frequency

Subterranean

TTA: Black Static, Interzone.

Update:  While I refuse to acknowledge that Subterranean is dead, I have to add Cemetery Dance. Their emags are either discontinued or behind, I’m not sure which, though.

Update 2: Shroud Magazine? Shock Totem?  It is now February, and I’m kind of behind already.

Update 3: Galaxy’s Edge.
