I’m doing this morning out of order.
Yesterday afternoon, the HUNGRIES descended upon me, after being increasingly nibbly for several days. Okay, whatever. Today, I had a protein bar right after I got up, which I can very rarely tolerate (I usually feel blurgy until 8 a.m.). Doing yoga, it felt like everything was “switched” somehow again, where things that were hard were easy and vice versa.
Wait, it’s August. My stomach has flipped again! (My biology switches from summer/winter and back in February and August.) I guess it’s just running a little late due to the chaos the first week of this month. So wakes the Winter Queen! The Summer Queen is slowly lying down to rest.
Last night, I worked on a lot of technical details for the book and didn’t get much writing done. I eventually went to bed because the words weren’t coming. I got up this morning, freaking out that I Would Never Be Able to Write Again. Sat down to write and the research I did yesterday flowed smoothly into some fixes in a previous chapter. Yay!
Did yoga a bit late with no issues, but the heat and protein bar on the walk were making me nauseated, so I quit early on that.
The one character whose POV this scene is, is both super chill and super shy. He’s funny but he’s always deflecting. I’m not sure what treats to offer him to lure him out of his shell. Maybe it’s okay to let him chill for a while longer–his aunt will know how to embarrass him, if nothing else.
